Thyme

Thyme

Thyme is the herb (dried aerial parts) of some members of the genus Thymus of aromatic perennial evergreen herbs in the mint family Lamiaceae.  Oil of thyme, the essential oil of common thyme , contains 20–54% thymol. Before the advent of modern antibiotics, oil of thyme was used to medicate bandages. With its strong diuretic properties, thyme oil removes water from the body, accelerates the metabolism process and ensures the melting of body fat. It is a very powerful natural remedy for weight loss. It helps to release kidney stones and sand, destroys microbes in the stomach and intestines, relieves spasm, improves digestion and increases appetite. If applied to skin wounds and insect stings, it has a healing effect. It is an expectorant, useful for cough, chest and throat pain, flu, asthma and bronchitis. Relieves rheumatism pains, regulates blood circulation and blood sugar levels. It stops nervous heartbeat, has a positive effect during stress and insomnia.

Tea plant

Tea plant

Tea plant is a species of evergreen shrub or small tree in the flowering plant family Theaceae. Its leaves and leaf buds are used to produce the popular beverage tea. Although health benefits have been assumed throughout the history of using tea as a common beverage, no high-quality evidence shows that tea confers significant benefits. In clinical research over the early 21st century, tea has been studied extensively for its potential to lower the risk of human diseases, but none of this research is conclusive as of 2017.
